Department of Electrical Engineering

Introduction

Electrical engineering is a field of study that explores all the phenomena related to electricity and magnetism, pioneers its fields of application, and contributes to the welfare of human society. As the foundation of all engineering and the driving force of a developing society, it plays a pivotal role in any environments from all the period. Unlike other sectors that are constantly rising and falling, the main reason why it occupies an important role and position is that no sector can function without the participation of electrical engineering and this is because constant innovation is required to solve future energy problems.

High value added electric devices are critical core technologies in the fields of transportation industries such as aerospace, automobiles, ships and high speed trains, renewable energy such as solar, fuel cell, wind power and tidal power, smart grid industry, intelligent building, human-friendly robot, information and communication industry, electrical materials, new materials nanotechnology and biotechnology. Major research areas include smart grid, renewable energy, materials and physical properties, electromagnetic applications, power electronics, battery management system, motor drive, automatic control, and power system. As it is the foundation of industrial society, the demand is estimated to grow gradually.
